CONTEST!!!

I wrote up a review of the awesome book, Rape Girl by Alina Klein, a few weeks ago promising a contest when it came out. Well, I got a little surprise yesterday when I realized that it is out already!! (Actually I happen to know the author was a bit surprised too! But such is the world of publishing.)

Anyway, contest... so let's see, rules....
A. You have to be a reader.
B. You have to promise to lend this book to a friend because this is the type of book that NEEDS to get passed around.
C. If you write up a review after you're done, I may just throw you in for a few bonus entries on my next contest (not sure when that will be, but I've been thinking of doing one for Masque of the Red Death sometime soon).

As for official rules, I'd just like you to comment below with your name, email address, and if you happen to think of a great "issue" book that you think I should read, I'd love to hear that too. I'd love for you to tweet the contest and help spread the word around, but I also hate jumping through hoops when I enter contests, so I'm not going to MAKE you do that, only do so if you're A SUPER SWEET PERSON and you LOVE my blog and you want to get the word out about this FABULOUS book because you're just THAT kind of person.  But sadly it won't get you any bonus entries.

Ready, set, enter!!!!

Contest is international and will end on June 24th.

Oh, and when you're done go to Goodreads and enter their contest too!

No 'issue' books to recommend, but do try Silk by Alessandro Barrico sometime :)

I really haven't read many "issue" books. One that I can think of is Scars by Cheryl Rainfield. This book was a great read. This is an important issue and If I win I would pass the book around. This book sounds like a great read and I can't wait to read it. Thanks for this great giveaway!

This sounds like a good book to have read. I also thought Tiger Tiger by Margaux Fragoso was really important to read, but as it is an autobiography of a victim of a paedophile, it won't be for everyone. I think it goes a long way to expose the tactics they use though, so it should be something parents & teachers read.

You can see my review of it here: http://readinglark.blogspot.com/2012/02/book-review-tiger-tiger.html

Thanks for the giveaway! Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver is an "issue" read that I enjoyed reading. This sounds like a great read and I'm looking forward to reading it.

Thanks ever so much for the giveaway. I am a follower, I review every book I read on my blog http://crochetaddictcfs.blogspot.co.uk
usually on a Friday.
All hard copies of books get passed around our family. No book is wasted, it is always read by lots of people.

ZOMG, ANGIE, WHAT A FANTASTIC BOOK TO HOLD A GIVEAWAY OF!

I've had this on my wishlist for a couple of months now and HOW COOL THAT YOU'RE ACTUALLY HAVING A GIVEAWAY (Sorry, I can't get past my excitement).

Okay, so I really really really wanna read this, as you must have guessed by now, and yes, I literally shove books-i-like down people's throats, so you can count on this being passed around AND talked about.

Also, an issue book that needs to be read? Stephanie Kuehnert's Ballads of Suburbia. Dude, I cannot sing praises enough about this book. Broken families, substance abuse, self harm - this'll break your heart.
